Hi Richard. Thanks to reply.

I am riding my bike for 2 years everywhere since I pass my M1 road test.

M1 road test was easy for me because I have a small bike 125CBR.

Now for the M2 test I have to do everything again plus the Highway ?

What kind test they do ? I only know that they will follow my bike on the Highway.

What is important for me to practise to pass the test ?

Thanks.
Luis

Not 100% sure, but I thought I heard that Sheridan College is on the verge of running an M2 exit with test course If you don't have to take the test in the next month or so, I ewould wait and see if they will be offering it.... Graham?? any insights???

First they will take you thru the same tests that you passed for your M2. However, you aren't graded on these.

They will lecture you on shoulder checks, looking both ways in a three way glance and watching for firehalls. They expect to see your helmet move in each of these so a good idea is to turn your mirrors so you can't see directly behind you so you have to do a shoulder check.

Next they will take you out on the roads with a radio so they can tell you where to turn. If your helmet is a solid colour or colour that is hard to see move they will put a piece of tape on it. They will expect to see you look both ways at every intersection, look at firehalls and all other places that vehicles might pop out of.

Using proper directional signals and/or hand signals will be rated. They also expect you to come to a complete stop at stop signs with a shoulder check and if you do a right turn on red a full stop first with a shoulder check plus a check for oncoming traffic in the lane you are about to turn into. On the highway they expect you to be able to safely change lanes by signaling and turning your head to check you aren't turning into some one's way. On run off ramps they expect you to check to your right to see that there isn't a car or bike trying to sneak past you on the inside which happened to one of the riders during the test. One way to avoid that is to turn into off ramps the instant you reach the dashed line indicating your can turn onto the ramp or turn lane.

In short they expect you to follow all traffic laws and be very wary at all intersections and firehalls. In each case they want to see your helmet move. I found that quite difficult because at my age my neck isn't as flexible as in a younger person so I tend to turn my eyes not my head and use mirrors instead of shoulder checks.

For the test I had to do it their way, but they will go over everything they expect in some detail.

That's about what I can remember, hope it helps.

Sheridan do it but it is very expensive about $400.00. At Ministry is $75.00.

I would like to try at Ministry first like a did in M1 road test. It was easy but I went there before and saw the test and practise until could do evething good and did the test.

If I have some information what I should do there I will be fine.

Thanks

Sheridan College Oakville campus has the M2 exit course. Actually, we've added more because of the high demand. Not sure if it's coming to Brampton, but it would be nice.

The price of the Sheridan course has just gone up, due to the beloved harmonized HST, now about $419.72. Everything from the students we teach it to say it is very beneficial. I am teaching the course next weekend June 24-27.
