This is just to show that publicity works.
I did the BAD ride this year, and picked up one of the dinky red bike shaped cards reminding us to save the date (22 August Toy Ride).
It worked!! So here I am ,registered, $donation made via Paypal, and ready to ride.

I work a few varied shifts, but will try to catch up with some of the BMA before the ride.

Anyone else live in Erin Mills/ Streetsville area?

Btw I'm 58, male, and ride a 2008 Suzuki M50 Boulevard.

Thought I’d continue this thread for those who like to know where and what others motorcyclists are doing in the area…

A little about me and motorcycles:
Just new to the motorcycle world. My current ride is a 2008 Suzuki GX250, purchased from Envy Rides, perfect as a first bike can be.
It was never part of my life plan to own a motorcycle, bicycle yes, owned quite a few
But a Motorcycle??? Never really thought about it
You mean I get the whole lane and not just the curb??? and no peddle power required?
Ok, interesting, ill bite, never driven a motorcycle before, been a passenger once
So away I went to the motorcycle safety course at Sheridan College in Brampton (cool huh?) Let me say, the instructors there are FANTASTIC!!!
They were nice folks and I sure did learn allot!!!!

What brings me to BMA and this forum?
I am working towards attending the next Wednesday meeting in October.
Since July 09, I have been toying with the idea of joining a local club. !!!
I have not participated in any group riding but want very much to have that type of exposure. Although I am a loner and feel I don’t do so well at social functions (not because I am all that shy, ok maybe a little bit) I am getting better at wanting to attend social functions that are activity based, even if then make me all nervous like

BMA is the closest to me here in very very north-western Mississauga.
SHOOT! Halton region is just a stone throw away!!! and it is such a fantastic area to ride
The trees are starting to turn on the escarpment, lovely views!

Aren’t we just the lucky ones to have wide open spaces just a hop skip and jump way?
